Software updater not detecting phone..

If you have Vista .. you probably need to run in XP Sp2 compatibility mode .. as administrator ..

I'm assuming that your Nokia Software Suite is the Latest version too? That contains the driver - the 6.83 version is Vista compatible.

I'm using XP service pack 2.

The Pc suite see'the phone so its not a problem with the cable as I used maploader to install a map.

This really has me stumped..

Mine did that the first time I tried it, as I think I installed a program that uninstalls the driver, if you see what I mean.

I guess you might just have to try reinstalling everything again for it to work, I was lucky enough to have another computer to connect mine to for it to work.

At this stage I have un-installed both the pc suite and updater, then I ran Ccleaner, then re-installed pc suite and updater.......😡 😡 😡

STILL not detecting phone on updater, yet pc suite connects.
I have noticed that when I run updater message pops up that the phone is disconnected ( I am assuming this is from the pc suite and the updater needs to make its own connection).

HELP.........

remove the pc suite and the updater, then re instal just the updater and try that, make sure phone is in pc suite mode, just dnt instal pc suite as the updater dnt need it to work

You need to have the PC Suite running I think when u run the updater.

I suspect there's something stuffed with the USB drivers etc .. on the PC you have , so find another ..
