Could anybody explain to me what happens to the files lost in this operating system? One of my aplication to play DivX files hanged up during playback. I had to restart phone and afterwards application doesn't want to work anymore ... and a huge *.avi file just disappeard from flash file system. I didn't check what was the size of memory before this accident, so I don't know if this file still occupies the memory. Do you have any experience with that? Are there any tools to scan a memory for corrupted files? Can it happen that my memory is getting more and more busy because of many corrupted files?
Files lost on Symbian S60
Aren't there any experts on this forum? 😉
Let's try to answer my question, please.
Use something like http://www.pushl.com/y_browser to browse the file system (unprotected areas).
And if you have an S60 3rd Edition based device, connect it in USB mass storage (sometimes called "Data transfer"😉 mode and browse the memory card file system from a PC (also system/hidden files/directories are accessible on the card that way).
Thanks for response,
As I understand these are the methods to browse the memory more easily, but not to check the memory for any corrupted files (if such any can exist at all :con? ).
