i.e. how do you make photographer accessible by the left click, it wont let u do it in the menu
Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> Standby Mode -> Left Selection Key

Only lets you choose Nokia apps, from the looks of things

Sorry.
You will need third party software for that.
I think taskmanager was able to do that.
nope you don't need third party app.
CiaranMcNulty is right you can do it the way he explained.

You misunderstood CiaranMcNulty,he said that its only for Nokia apps (Apps integrated in the firmware).I agree with that.
What cyrax83 wants is a shortcut to a third party app like photographer.
For that i'm sure that you need third party software.
Its a damn shame that this feature is not part of the firmware.

what software ? i tried task manager, that only lets you have joystick shortcuts, not button. hmm ... :-?

If you're right then what cyrax83 asked is a silly q. cuz how do u expect to make a shortcut for third app with an integrated app?

I'm not using it now.I really cant remember if it was like that but i'm sure that there was some app that was able to do so.
Did you try Active Desk?

Its really not silly because you are able the install additional apps on the device.Lets leave java apps aout of this. But what about symbian apps (SIS files).Even Nokia has developed additional apps for the 7650,they are not third party, and they are not integrated in the firmware.
My opinion is that its a mistake not to have this feature incuded.

hi

first of all, sorry for reactivate this old thread.

But i want to know if there is still no way to add additional apps to the softkeys.
because on my old Siemens SX1 with Symbian 6.0 i can choose programm->(insert app here) so i can bind every application on the phone to the softkeys.

cant believe they cut out this funtcion in a newer OS version ..
or do you think this was a "Siemens-feature" ?

maybe i'll get an answer to this 😊
