Contract top deal!

Hi,

Thought id add this cracking deal i got for reference. Sorry for the detail but this may be useful for others. Specific to upgrading and maybe vodafone only not sure.

Initially was going to take out a new contract with voda online and use quidco to get 82 pounds back and on a 27 a month rental with 6 months half price.

Before I did this i cancelled my current vodafone contract and was waiting the 30 days. I popped into phones 4 u to check out the phone and of course the sales guys were trying to sort a deal.

Well eventually they knocked out an absolute cracker - of course i explained the online deal and unless they could beat it I wasnt interested.

Here is the breakdown.

They processed the N95 through on voda at £50 a month contract thinks it was 800 mins 1000 texts etc but this is irrelevant anyway. This was to process the phone for free.

They told me after 28 days to go back into store and I can downgrade the tariff to whatever I want. I must admit I was a little unsure about this.

However I have just come back having downgraded it to the £25 a month 150 mins stop the clock and 250 texts, you can have 200 mins 500 texts and stop the clock for 30 but i just wanted the cheapest and this is enough for me.

Also I explained about the voda branded phones being restricted and upgrading it would void my warranty. with this he sorted me out one of the non branded generic N95's they had 2 in stock!

Also whilst we were knocking out the deal compared to the online one he said he would do 100 cash back too. It was cash there and then also.

This was an upgrade deal and therefore got to keep my number too.

In summary.

New N95 - Non branded
£100 cash back immediately
£50 a month for 1 month now £25 for remaining 17 (choose what ever you like)

works out £375 thats for a phone worth well over 400 alone and I get mins and texts included for 18 months.

quality deal and the guys at phones 4 u were great really friendly and gave me this amazing deal and good advice!

Well, just to add my own experience in getting this phone into the mix... :P

Previous contract with O2 CPW O2 250 (250 mins, 100 txts, and 1month rollover) for £35 a month for 12 months. A total of £420 a year. But had to pay another 64.99 last year for the Pearl Black N80 when it was first released. A grand total of £484.99.

This year, went in to CPW to check for a deal for an upgrade, but was not offered anything good. Plus O2 direct has recently just produced a 12 Month £35 month for 12 month deal (£420 total) +£89.99 for a N95 (£509.99), but CPW reps would not match or even try offering anything that costs less than £710 total. So I walked with the Warm Graphite N95 alone. For £479.95.

Gave O2 CPW a call yesterday for my PAC code. When asked why, I told them. CPW would not match the O2 direct deal. So leaving. What was I told? "Oh, stay with us, we'va actually got the following deal..."

£35 a month, for 12 months. (£420 total)
Will get 300 minutes a month, 250 txts a month
£35 for the Warm Graphite (unchanged N95)
£455 in total

"And you can take your USED N95 back and get a complete refund".

What could I say? 😃

Since I'm a phone person, 12 Months is a lot better to get through new phones than 18 Months. 😊
