N93i & Stereo Bluetooth headsets?

Hi,

I understand from a review on phonearea.com that the multimedia A2DP and AVRCP profiles are not supported, which means that the N93i cannot transmit music through Stereo Bluetooth.

Can anyone confirm if this is true, and that you can't use a stereo bluetooth headset to listen to music ...

Or has there been an update to the firmware or Symbian OS to make this possible now?

thanks for checking

Philip

The latest firmware upgrade (v 20.0.058) seems to have enabled the A2DP Bluetooth profile on my friends N93. He can successfully pair up with my BH501 headset and it outputs awesome stereo sound!!

Strangely though, his older BH300 refuses to get detected now that he's upgraded his firmware.

N93i(RM-156) with firmware version 20.0.084 works with stereo bluetooth headsets!!! I tried it with the BH-501 stereo headset, which was not even detected earlier, and was able to play music and make calls. I wanted a headset which will work with my laptop and sony-ericsson phones as well.

Have'nt got a chance to check that out yet.Can anyone provide any information regarding the same?

I've read a lot on this matter and I'm going for the upgrade this afternoon. I just tested my bh501 with a N95 and sound is amazing. Let's hope this upgrade fixes the problem 'cos otherwise I'm getting the headphones back to the store.

Alright! Nokia SUCKS! I just updated my N93 and there's no improvement in BT audio whatsoever. Let me know if someone finds anything more about this issue...
