Copilot and Internal GPS

I have a question for those of you who are running Copilot with your N95 internal GPS.

Do you get a GPS lock more quickly with Copilot than with Nokia Maps?

I am considering buying Copilot but there is no point if it still takes 5 mins to get a lock.

Thanks,

Xerxes

In theory, ALL GPS software should be the same in lock - its because they all use the same API to get their GPS data from (S60 Locations API). Only reason why one app seems to be "quicker" is not to do with the Lock on, but how they render it or use the information afterwards.

I've noticed Route 66 is considerably quicker at obtaining a lock too. But I think the reason is to do with the threshold for getting a position lock. I think Nokia Maps probably requires 1 or 2 more satellites before it gives you a position whereas some other software might do it with less (at the expense of accuracy).
