divx or mp3g -> mp4?

Quicktime can convert avi's and such to mp4.. but they don't have a plugin for divx if I recall correctly.

So then i would convert divx to non-divx to mp4.

You can do it via QuickTime6 pro plus the DivX decoding plugin.
Since DivX 5 is an Advanced Simple Profile codec, you cannot simply demultiplex the AVI file, get the elementary streams and remultiplex them inside an MP4 transport file... for that kind of operation MPEG4IP's mp4creator utility would be the best solution.
Another source of problems is that, usually, DivX encoded AVIs have an MP3 audio track, which is not part of any profile in MPEG4. A really MPEG4 compiant player shouldn't playback an MP4 file with MP3 audio. You HAVE to use ACC Low Complexity, GSM or CELP audio instead.

DivX Format use Mpeg4 codec...

so DivX is actually Mpeg4 video...

The only thing that you need is resize to 160 x 120 or less
to see the videos...
