When i finally get my n95 unlocked i want sat nav. I was going to use the inbuilt sat nav and sell my trusted n70 with the tomtom mobile5 i bought with it but having read stuff saying the inbuilt aint as good as the tomtom and having to pay for maps etc was wondering if anyone knows if i can either download the tomtom data off the n70 card and upload it onto the n95 micro card or buy the card with the data on. I have been really pleased with the performance of my n70 tomtom combination so if i could continue using it on the 95 it would put the icing on the cake of what looks like a great fone.

Provided your N70 TomTom Maps are V6.50 or later, you can copy maps across and they will be compatible with Tomtom6
However, you will need to get a new activation code, as official TomTom maps are locked to one IMEI number.
(IF you are not an official TomTom owner there's always google or gpsunderground)
Thanx for that. I bought the tomtom when they first came out from carphone warehouse so guess its got the early software and not compatible. Think i will stick fone and tomtom on ebay as they both still work fine then start again.

Be aware that TomTom cannot use the built in gps so yot will still need a bluetooth one.
Why not just sell the N70 and then buy TomTom 6 sw only with uk maps for about 65 quid?
Hello,
I hope someone may have answer to my dilemma.
What happens is, when I copy my TT6 onto the MicroSD card and put it
in the N95 phone it does nothing at all.
This is unlike my N80 that runs an installer as soon as You insert the card with TT6
I can't get TT6 to install, I have checked through the files for the little
two Red Hands Tomtom logo - nothing - I put the MicroSD card in my laptop it shows the Red hands on the list of items.
Now I had TT6 running absolutely smart on the my N80, when I clicked on the Two Red Hand logo which installed in the 'My Own' Folder it worked just fine.
Has anyone else had a similar problem?
And please someone - somewhere throw some light on ehat I must be doing wrong!!
I look forward to any tips.
Many Thanks in Advance,
