Mobile GMaps, a Java-based and rather data-heavy (watch that tariff) mashup, now has working support for the internal GPS on the Nokia N95 and E90, you need version 1.33.10. Think of it as Google Maps for Mobile on steroids.

I downloaded it Friday night (not sure if it was the latest release or not) for use with my E70 and Holux Bluetooth GPS. It looked pretty impressive, but in the course of my 15 minutes of playing with it, it crashed (terminated) twice and could never succesfully plan a route - I alway got back something like "route not found".

Needs work in my opinion...

Gave it a test run for 20 mins worked perfectly, routes and finding businesses.
Highly recommend

Works like a dream on the N95 and puts me within 10ft of my actual position every time, sometime it is accurate to within 2ft.
You can also click between all the satmap software out there, Google, Yahoo. MSN, Ask and you can always find one with a good resolution where you are, the switching is fast and reliable, I'm a picky bugger and this app is superb.

On a 3G connection it even kept up at full zoom while driving at 30mph, sorry T-Mobile but you did sell me a web'n'walk 😊
