Hi, can anybody tell me if the Nokia 73 Music Edition phone supports A2DP Profile as ive just upgraded my firmware to V3.0705.1.0.31 Sorry if im behind on this but need to no if this firmware on the phone will take Bluetooth Headphones Before i Buy !!!
Has anybody else got bluetooth headphones for their N73 Music phone and if you have whats the best out there for it, ive also heard the logitech freepulse are very good on full volume, base etc...
Hope somebody can clear this matter up for me..
Hope to hear soon,
Regards from Brian
No, as far as I try to get this feature, nothing from Nokia yet. It doesn't support A2DP so, you need some bluetooth stereo headset that support MSI Blueplayer software to have stereo music on the BT headset. The other thing, no other people care about this issue. So, no other people will not give any opinions. :icon13:
Hi, and thankyou for your reply, so are you using any bluetooth headset that works ok, im looking for a decent set of bluetooth headphones that deliver good sound/base etc, very very hard to find any, but think ive found the ones im going to buy and they are the Logitech FreePulse bluetooth headphones but not to sue about the MSI You are on about, Please tell me more and if you can find out can you let me no if they support Msi, as dont understand that bit,
Oh and at least we care about bluetooth headsets etc...
Again Many thanks and hope to hear soon.
Brian
@ delixis
Actually I care and I know others do too about wireless music.
Hence my post - but.. no replies to that means that maybe I'm a lone voice clapping - to mix metaphors.

The MSI blueplayer software works only with iTech headphones and this is currently limited to the limited edition of Clip R35 and Clip S38 (according to their website)
There is no other solution using the N73's own bluetooth unless you get a bluetooth dongle connected to the pop port (nokia used to do one but it's discontinued) or via a 3.5mm connection in (for example) a set of HS-20 phones.
There's an interesting thread re the cracking of the blueplayer program to work with other BT stereo headsets but the S60 v3 version is as yet only available with the two iTech sets mentioned above.
Hi there and ye i no what you mean, also will the logitech freepulse bluetooth headphones work with the n73, even if it comes out mono? and what are you using at the moment if anything?
Regards from brian
Hi Brian
I'm not using any wireless solution currently, that's why I was asking opinions on other people's solutions.
I'm using an AD-41 adapter with some Sennheiser CX-300s.
Can't fault them and now I've I upgraded to the N73 ME the sound quality is stunning!
Any bluetooth headphone/headset should work with your N73 but you won't be guaranteed stereo - at best it will be dual-mono.
There was a post on a forum about a bloke using a bluetooth dongle with his E61 and some Logitech headphones - not the most elegant solution but it worked.
I'll see if I can find it.
Here tis: click.
This would work with the N73 once you had (ie an AD-41 adapter) a pop port to 3.5mm female adapter.
Lot of extra bulk though.

:icon14: MSI Blueplayer is a Symbian program that enable a compatible phone to send stereo sound to some particular BT Headset. It owned by MSI and (I think) was brought by Itechdynamic to use with their headsets. To be able to use this program especialy Symbian 9.1, you need a compatible BT Headset. Itech got some, for sure, Clip Radio (all version), Clip R35 (some version) and BlueBandR headphone. Also, MSI produces a BT headset to use with their own feature too, it is FS510. However, the FS510 is very hard to find in Thailand, I can't find it yet.
Hope, this help you a bit to understand. 😉
A2DP is now supported on the newest firmware for the vanilla version (4.0723.2.0.1).

Upgrading to the new firmware v4.0723.2.1.1 you have the AD2P specification in your n73, but you loose the 3G capabilities, cause this firmware is only for RM-132, not yet for RM-133 handsets.
This firmware is disponible changing product codes to these:
0529832
N73 RM-132 CUST. TRX LTA Nokia (Deep Plum): 0529835
0529836

This is just regular interference on the bluetooth signal, A2DP seems to be considerably more susceptible to interference than i ever thought it would be.
from what? i tried in a an open car park. still same once mobile
sitting still brilliant😮
I Just purchased a clip r35 and am quite dissapointed that the suplied software is incompatible with the reciever. I get great quality stereo sound for 30 secs using MSI BluePlay then get a message saying i'm not using a compatible reciever then playback stops.
Anyone know of any player that will play using A2DP that will run on V3?

What, on the V3 N73 firmware? not supported.
the only way you can do it (without a v4 firmware upgrade) is to get a pop-port to 3.5mm adapter, and then a 3.5mm to A2DP adapter (ie. like the iPod units).
Which would be very, very messy .....😃
Oh, and incidentally, my Moto S9 had to be returned. Sound quality was excellent, but it had "reliability" issues. I had two in a row that had the main music controls fail. Not good. 😡
Hi, I care😊
I bought 1 iTech stereo headset (Blueband R) for my N73ME today
after reading your post. N73ME with newer firmware version 4.x.x
will allow you to do A2DP without using BluePlayer. The connectivity
is stable, the bass is very acceptable but the vocal a bit flat.
Of course i am using low quality MP3, if you have a high quality
MP3 sampling rate then the sound will be better.
