My computer wont 'TRUST' by 7650, why? (Bluetooth)

4 replies · 1,736 views · Started 10 January 2003

I have recently bought a class 1 bluetooth dongle (racewood), it recognises the 7650 but it wont trust it, therefore I can't do a thing!! I bought this phone second hand, when I double click the 7650 icon the handset asks me for the passcode for P5L9L8. The phone came with all documentation.

Any ideas

Tx

So you have not paired the devices. You have to insert same passcode to
both 7650 and the PC, and those get paired. After that it should work.

read the 7650 FAQ:
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/support/directory/viewcat.php

nothing about pairing whatsoever in the faq, but as jyrik has said u need to enter the same code into both devices.

When i first read about passcodes I thought it would be a predefined code in the manual or on the box my phone came with but its not. Just make up some code like 9876 and put that into your phone and on the other device u are pairing with and both items can now be paired 😃

OK thanks got it paired, now need to get pc suite to recognise that I have a phone connected, think i saw it on an earlier query. I'll have a look about.

Racewood's own drivers won't work whit 7650. I have Racewood BT adapter and I use Acer's drivers and it works perfectly 8)
