Does anyone know if the Wifi scaner thats on the front screen of the N80 can be removed from view and if so how do i do it.

Thanks
Gary

yeah, if you uninstall the app it will probably leave the front screen.

Mine leaves intermittently, and launching wireless wizard puts it back.

This is interesting. My N80 does not have the wireless lan on the front screen.
All it shows are my standby items on 1 line and the calender items on the second line. I am using Firmware V4.0632.0.38
(Afraid to update to 4.07)

I think you can find it in the download section under internet...or: http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,1522,,00.html?orig=/n80internet/support#?content2

in the bottom. Can't remember if it works for regular N80 or not..sorry 😞

Thanks for the info, but I was just curious as to why it wasn't on my N80IE screen like many others. I really don't want it there since I can easily access it in my connections. Anyway if one day I want it on my screen I will use your info.

If its not showing on your main screen, then it may not be on the f/w. I was under the impression tho that it was avaialable to all f/w versions 4x.x.x upwards. and possibly the late v3's.

Anyway, if you launch the wireless wiz app see if it comes on the front screen... if it doesnt Id guess its not gonna work with your phone/ f/w.

It is useful tho... especially when roaming around the world/city whatever.
