Text messaging problem

I have had my N95 for about 2 months now on an o2 contract and think its a fantastic phone.

However on Monday morning it decided to stop sending text messages and hasn't done since. Any time i try to sent one it goes in to the outbox to be resent straight away, tries about 5 times and then fails. Everything else on the phone works, can receive messages, send mms, go online, make calls. Only thing i cant do is text.

O2 have said there has been no restriction placed on my account and i have checked the message centre numbers etc and they are all correct.

The strangest thing is that i also have an o2 payg sim and i stuck that in and it was exactly the same, everything worked but it wouldn't send messages.

Do i have a faulty phone? Just seems like a really strange fault to me!!

I know i can get it replaced if it is but its just a hassle for me as they will only do the swap at my home and i'm out of the house from 7am to 6pm monday to friday so if its fixable would rather not have to swap it!!

If is firmware, you can always try a phone format, but first, do a backup, or you lost all. Try...

I've tried restoring it to factory settings and upgradin the firmware but nothing is making any difference. I'm guessing it must somehow be a software problem!!
