Cant figure out how to make or setup video calling on my n95. Any ideas people?:con?
Video Calls On T-Mobile
Their is no need to set it up all you have to do is select contact, select options and select video call if your in 3g area it will work straight off if you aren't it wont allow you. Also if the person on the other end doesn't have a video phone it will fail too.
When i try to do that it says video call not supported by network? Also the person im trying to have a video call with is on t-mobile with an n73 so it should work aye?
Are you both in an area with good 3G coverage - the signal indicator up on the top right of the display will tell you if you are - and also check that both phones have 'dual mode' selected (settings/phone/network) if you only have GSM selected it wont work

As another forum user mentioned both of you need to be in a 3G coverage area.
Also, both of you need to be using 3G enabled SIM CARDS & accounts with Video Calling supported. I suggest you both call your Network Operators and confirm your SIM and accounts are provisioned for Video calling. Some of the networks do not offer full 3G support on their lower monthly tariffs or on PAYG.
Finally, ask your friend to try Video calling you. I once had a situation where a friend (on Vodafone) could not start a video call with me (on Tmobile) but if I called him, a video call worked.
Hope this helps!
Does anybody actually use video calling, other than for novelty?
I've done it a couple of times just to test it or see how it looks but I really can't see much point most of the time
actually, a good use for the video call feature is when you want to show someone what you're seeing.
Let's say you're buying steak, but you don't know how to choose. Video call your wife and let her choose in realtime.
Offtopic (but not quite), is there any way to send the video recording (from either camera) as a live stream (to website, computer, etc..)?
