In Bangkok I saw a new case design tonight. I've counted a total of 3 different plastic case designs since I've been here. But tonight I saw one that was more plyable and designed to clip into the bottom housing just like those silicone cases but without the additional width those cases bring.
Problem being is that once clipped in the slider is much harder to operate so it was a non-starter for me.
If you find a plastic case that has the clips for the top plate at the top don't buy it since it usually is quite hard or impossible to slide the phone back up from the down position. The alternative more recent design of this case has the clips at the side and the one I bought tonight even has a whole cut out for the 2nd camera and speaker.
These things are quite cheaper over here but they do protect my phone so I often find myself picking them up from time to time.
You also have to be careful with the bottom as they usually crack in the corners but I've found that to be common only with one specific design.
