is the n95 so bad?

6 replies · 2,735 views · Started 17 June 2007

i received my n95 on friday and since then i only had a really bad experience , something like rebboting for no reason, getting stuck while doing something very very normal like reading a txt message, rowsing pictures, connecting to the net for voip etc.

i thought the n80 was bad, but this is really really unusable.

i got so desperate that i've done the upgrade to v11 but it did not make things any better

it works fine to make phone calls, gps, etc but i really use the mobile in every function, so i wold like to know if you guys think that i've got a very bad one, and in this case have it replaced, or if this is the average, and some of you guys can live with, because i can't.

any help will be appreciated

btw it's a o2 phone.

ur not having much luck pal, my n95 is great, no probs at all, im running generic euro 2 plum firmware

is it possible that the battery life doing a bit of each browsing, voip, normal phone calls and NO GPS alt all (as for today) goes flat in 6/7 hrs?

PS well... it is possible on my mobile, i just wanted to know if anybody else has this problems, thanks

No, it should not behave like this. It sounds as if you've got a faulty phone (either that or the O2 firmware really sucks). I never had any problems (perhaps I've had 2 unwanted reboots since I got it and I've had the phone for 2 months now). Mine is unbranded though (generic euro 1).

In the beginning battery life is/can be quite poor. It gets better after some charge cycles. After 1-2 weeks mine improved significantly (and I was then still playing around a lot with the phone, and still am). Now I get an average of 2 days between charges.

I've got a Vodafone supplied 'plum' debranded to Euro 1 and it works like a dream.

I strongly agree with the battery comments, I was having to charge mine twice a day for the first few days but now it'll easily last two.
