If i ask for a repair under warranty for the wonky slider issue at a Nokia Service Point, will they just laugh and say it doesnt matter, or do sumint about it?

no report it to them and get a replacement, mines getting replaced tomorrow for the dreaded slider and believe me,it may seem like a small problem but it gets annoying!!!

hey, how long did it take for them to replace your n95? and where are you located?
i sent mine in two weeks ago here from california to the service center in alabama, but it's still under repair...

phoned on tuesday, they're sending out a new one tomorrow by courier to be swapped with the faulty one.i live in the uk.

can i ask you what you mean with wonky?

is it wonky sideways or it keeps sliding

thanks, don't know if i have this quite common problem

Mine is *ever so slightly* wonky, theres about 1mm travel in it. What I mean by this is:

Put your N95 on table, screen facing up, slider closed

place a thumb and forefinger at either end (bottom of keypad, and top near microphone)

gently shift the weight between your finger and thumb and you can see (or perhaps not if youre lucky) the screen moving

For me the slight wobble on the slider doesn't really bother, mine isnt too bad and the phone works perfect so i can live with it.
