I have a really weird problem with my n80. The "sending a text msg" icon is hanging on my screen and won't disappear! I updated the firmware and this made the icon disappear but when i restored my backup it re appeared! HELP!

Try checking your outbox for unsent messages, check it with phone memory in use, then with memory card selected.
yeah, sounds like theres a message stuck in your outbook file... hence why it dissapeared after the f.w update but came back again after you reinstated the backup.
