Missing Ringtones

I've had my N95 for just over a week now and something very odd has happened. After deciding to change my ringtone, I went to the appropriate menu and they had all disappeared! The only option I had was to turn the tone off or else download one from Nokia's website (a very limited and lousy selection). I have since reloaded the firmware (v11.0.026) but still no ringtones. Oh, and this applies to ALL tones. Anybody else come across this? I called Nokia in the UK and they were as unhelpful as I expected them to be but they did tell me that this problem has not been reported before.

Have you changed your memory stick? i found that i lost the ringtones when i put in a 2gb stick. still trying to work out where the tones are so that i can copy them

When I think about it, yes, the ringtones disappeared after installing a 1 GB memory stick. The strange thing is that the default tones for the various profiles are still there BUT if I try to change them there are no alternatives (other than off or download as I outlined in my original post). I have tried using file manager to track down the missing tones but I'm blowed if I can find them. Am taking the phone to a Nokia service centre later today to see if the people there can solve the mystery

Hello Ab0895, have you tryed refeshing your music library. It may help and there again it may do nothing but it's worth a try.
One last tip that you may know already: Before taking out your memory card out of the phone, press the power button and scroll down the list to remove memory card press select and you're safe to take your card out without lossing any appilications.

Hope this helps.
