hi, i just got all the setup files sent via sms from vodafone for gprs, vodafone live etc but i get an error 404 on the homepage the adress i have here is http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms is that right? or do they have a little techie problem?
im in the uk btw
thanks for any help

The homepage you have there is used for GPRS MMS settings.

Dupplicate the settings and create a new connection profile with homepage of:

http://wap.vodafone.co.uk

The settings you have been sent to your phone are MMS only.

For Vodafone, I have about 5 connection settings....MMS GPRS, CSD GPRS (i.e. dial-up MMS), GPRS WAP, CSD WAP and finally GPRS Full Internet Access.

Would you mind posting the Internet Access settings you are using so I can post them in the Support Directory.

Thanks.

The APN is internet, user name is web and password is web. No gateway address is required.

So it would be:

Connection Name: Whatever
Data Bearer: GPRS
Access Point: web.vodafone.co.uk or wap.vodafone.co.uk or something else?

Username: web
Prompt Pass: No
Password: web
Authen: Normal
Gateway IP: 0.0.0.0

Can you confirm this before I add it to the directory?

As you have it above except:
Access Point: internet

If you get the http error while trying to access Vodafone Live, then just do the following...

Go to services
Go to URL (in bookmarks)
Enter the following...http://live.vodafone.com

This should reload the page!!

I brought my phone aqs soon as it camer out. and then vodafone says that anyone who got their fone after november get free photo messaging. Do you know if that applies to me, or are they just being really mean to peeps who like technology. Also does anyone know whats goin on with cross network MMS. all my mates with my fone are on orange., and it blows.
