Any software or shizzle for making web video calls? Something like the N800 perhaps? That would be rad

I'd be interested in this too. Have searched around on Google and cannot find anything.

I currently use Fring for VOIP calls and this works supremely well, surely there must be something similiar which can transmit video too.

there is a program called Barablu that can do video calling over the Internet. However, there are still some issues... such as problems with N95 and the video calling is currently only one way (ie. computer to mobile but not mobile to computer).

Hopefully, they will release a new version soon that will enable 2 way video calling.

Serious? Thats quite cool. Alot of people want to be able to view webcam on their phone for cctv reasons. Like...calling home and seeing whats going on. Can you genuinly view a webcam feed?

I also found another program called TIVI at tivi.com[/url] (sorry, can't post links yet)

that can do two way video calling over the Internet. There is no N95 version, but you can download the version for N93 and it works. In my limited testing, I had a PC with no mic and no webcam, but was able to send video from my mobile and it showed up on the PC. The refresh rate is something like 3 frames per second. Also, since I don't have a webcam on my PC, the application on the mobile doesn't display anything and the little PIP image of yourself is distorted, I'm not sure if it is because of the missing video feed from the PC or if it is a bug.

There is no option to route voice over the loudspeaker... so you need to use your headphone mic attachment that came with your N95 to hear the other person. If you are just happy staring at each other or like to play charades, then you don't need this.

Basically, internet calls from TIVI to TIVI are free. You can dial people by username although you can also use IP address.

Gizza2: To answer your question, alot of webcams nowadays come with software that allows you to view the video (as a feed or timed picture) through a webpage. So all you would need to do is use your N95 browser and surf to that page. There are also 3rd party software that can work with your webcam to do this. (just seach for "webcam monitor" in google)
