Favorites.. how to make them?

You have to use 3rdparty software to do this. What I remember, whit PsiLoc TaskMan you can put any app to the favorites.

I think there is a API to allow us to insert the <Add to favourite> to menu
but Nokia simply don't want to help us(3rd party developer).
Some of them(Psiloc) figure out themself.(I guess)
But i am sure that there is an API something like SendAppUI for us to use.
The API will even localize for us but forum Nokia simply no reply about this.
May be nokia is waiting for us to pay for help. :evil:

try to make thing simple, just do as Urpo says, get taskman and you can add shortcuts to your Favorites folder. the trial will do. 😃

I was wondering .. beside task manager ... would SeleQ 1.5 do the job ?

You can take a look on to PINBMDL.lib

This library has all needed functions to add your apps to Favourites.

Unfortunately there is no corresponding header file. But you can make this header by yourself by decompiling the lib.

BUT i don't recommend to do it, at least now, Nokia support says that they are reconstructing this API now and if you'll use it now your programs might not work properly on future firmwares. Please give Nokia some time to release final version of this API.

I created some Favorities using task manager...

it's a good app... the good thing is that then i remove
Task manager and the favorites Still there! .. hehe!

So!.. now i have my favorites apps on FAVORITIES list and
i accessing favorites with the right botton short cut at
the start screen... hehe it's nice...

and i keep the same memory space, because i remove Task Manager
after i created the fav list hehehe! 😃

no prob! glad to hear you're enjoying. btw, you did consume a little amount of memory. the shortcuts in the fav folder take up 1kb each on the average. 8)

All this talk about creating shortcuts is interesting, but has anyone tried to REMOVE some of these shortcuts?

I'm referring here specifically to the Calendar and Inbox shortcuts.. You can delete every shortcut except those two.

yup, actually, there are 3. notes, inbox, and calendar. these shortcuts might been stored in the z drive therefore you wont be able to delete them. it really isn't a problem for me because i would prefer to have those 3 in my favorites folder as well. 😃
