Hi guys,
I got my N95 today, seems like a great phone so far I must say!
Spent quite a long time trying to do get it just how I want it and stuff, getting there!
I downloaded Nokia Updater for the N95 from the Nokia website, and it opens up staying 'Starting application' then just freezes and stays on the splash screen. I've left it for hours now to see if it opens, I've got over a gig of RAM and my computer's far from slow. The music uploader, pc suite, everything all worked 100% perfect but this updater is being a complete pain in the backside. Anyone had this prob/heard of it?
Next thing, in this picture for example: h*tp://fs-newmobile.com/images/media/nokia/n95/photokina_keulen%20(75).jpg
You see the 'No calender entries today' and things, how do I get this there? Can't find it out anywhere...
Also, how do you change the clock from digital > analogue?
Thanks in advance! 😊
I have not used a N-95 but I have a E-70. I think there are some similarities in the Symbian OS. To change the clock from digital to analogue, go to tools, settings, date and time, clock type. The no calendar entries today simply means that. If you some appointment or some to do entry in your calendar it will show instead of no entries. Hope this is helpful. Perhaps you should consider reading the manual.

Thanks mate, the digital to analogue worked.
With the calender entries you spoke about saying there isn't any, I don't even get that come up, I just have nothing in that area. (No icons like that.)
I have read the manual briefly to try and find the answer to that with no avail.
Also, the main problem was the nokia software updater, I figured while I was posting regarding that I might aswell post a couple of other questions.
Apologies for that. Will read the manual now.
Have now figured out how to get the icons on the desktop.
All that remains now, is how to get this sodding updater to work!
go to settings>general>personalisation>standby mode, and turn it on
also, with regard to software updater (you done re-install?), i havn't used it myself, but if your phone isnt a stand alone PAYG, you may have to update with one from your netwrok instead of nokia generic
The software updated is a bit twitchy, it often won't work for me until the computer has been rebooted.
