i just got my P800 after a long wait n couldnt sleep when i know i was collecting it the next morning...lol 😃 The phone is really great ......all features i want in a mobile phone....cool! Unfortunately....as a common problem, i have problem installing the pc suit n therefore couldnt connect my p800 to my pc. So i install soft wares by downloading them on my desktop and then send to my phone via pop3mail and voila!.........INSTALLATION COMPLETED! The coolest software is the Tipicme....its the same as trillian exactly...only minus the files transfer which can be only done on the desktop Tipic. So now i can stay connected to my friends from yahoo, msn, icq or aol whereever i go...!!! only flaw is that its in beta right now and so connection not consistant.....only the msn is really stable at all times....lol In conclusion, I love my P800 and dun think will replace it till the next SE phone better than P800 is out 2004

If it is a beta version how can we be sure it would mess up the software of the p800. I feel it is a bit risky :roll:

If you are experimenting freq. disconnections, try to set your gprs timeout to 2 hours.
Control Panel-> Connections->Internet Accounts->Other->GPRS timeout

I dont know why doesnt TipicMe work with me.. i use data-line and it works with the 7650 .... when i connect it stops at 80% and it says not authorised! the same message even comes when i used the new tipicMe Pjava. i dont know whats the problem 😞

TipicME is a java so it won't burn ur P800 😃...

The TipicME it self is quite stable but connection from tipic server to other server (icq, msn, yahoo, etc) sometimes down (quite often lately) and too bad tipic only allow us to connect to their public server (they said they used some kind of compression to the bandwidth)

Or wait IM+ for P800, this app using native protocol (the same protocol as their PC counterpart not like TipicME which use JABBER)
