N70 - Copy of 14MB mp4 vid file from memory-card fails at appox 40%

Hi,

I've been struggling to copy a 14MB video file (.mp4) from the memory-card (RS-MMC, 1GB) of my brand new N70-ME, using the latest version of PCSuite (checked for update), on WinXP-SP2. While I am able to copy pretty much all files upto around 2MB, after having tried some 10 odd times, I am unable to copy this 14MB one. I've tried restarting phone (thrice), the PC twice, the PC-Suite software several times.

Does anyone have any idea as to how I can copy this file from the memory-card to my PC ? :con?

thanks,
bd

I would get or borrow a card reader. Copying files is so much quicker with one anyway and probably (by the sound of it) more reliable. They're not very expensive.

Is the file corrupted perhaps?

Can't think of any other way of fixing your prob.

What a weird problem, anyway, I think you should check your pc, for the following viruses. Probably your pc is infected by these:

1. Brontok
2. Ravmon
3. Sohanat
4. Bagle

Anyway, if anyof these infects your pc, the following symptomps may occur:

1. Sometimes programs gets closed automatically
2. the show hidden files and folders under view options of folder options will not work.
3. Disabled task manager
4. Disabled regedit & msconfig
5. pc gets restarted automatically
6. Occasionally Failure to copy/move files.

& various other problems including slow pc.

Finally, if anything does not work, re-install windows xp and re-install pc suite and try again. I think it will finally get rid of this problem, but before that, try to copy the file to a friend's computer using pc suite and see what happens.
