This has always been my killer app, and finally they've seen the light and released a version for S60 3rd edition :icon14: 😊

Thanks for this, I've been waiting for it for a while now, looking back at their site on a fairly regular basis. This got posted in between visits. 😉

I installed this but if keeps crashing out back to the menu.

I enter my login name and password but when I click DOWN arrow to go to the Login button, the app crashes out. Anyone got this app working?

Yeah, I got this too. Just leave the fields blank and using the left soft button click "sync all". It will sync using an anon acount and you will then get the Avantgo front page. Now all you have to do is go into options>server options and enter your username and password. Do another "sync all" and voila, you should have all your content.

Its definitely a bug.

From their website: "Synchronize mobile versions (called "channels"😉 of your favorite websites to your smartphone or PDA."

Why would I want to sync websites ahead instead of looking at them when I want to via the data connection? Maybe, if data is very expensive, yes, but otherwise, not.

It syncs a snapshot of all your favourite sites, perfectally formatted to our device's screen. It also means that naviagtion is near instant, and for me when I get on the tube (no signal) its an absolute godsend.

nope, this program keeps crashing on me as I try and set it up. I can't input my account details at any point. grrr 😡

Jeje. Now it works in my N95. I personally prefer the RSS feeder but Avantgo can enhance the news reading every morning in some cases!!

It seems to be a well reproduced bug, did you try the workaround I suggested above? i.e. just click sync all and then enter your details via the menu

Yes I did but couldn't get that to work either, as all I was getting was a blank screen. Then had a "thinks bubble" and realised that I needed to actually open the blank screen from the Options button a second time and there, low and behold, were the details I needed to change. It worked OK after that, thanks.

Not a very intuitive interface and that bug is a pain but at least it is up and running. Means I can now sync all my content in the morning, via WiFi, before I get on the train.

After you put your username and password, press the LEFT soft key and select Synchronise. Otherwise it crashes out of the program. (For the N95 at least)

I find this version is so slow.. took 15 minutes to download 2mb of saved pages and thats using Wifi!!

Unacceptable and buggy. Takes about 20 seconds to move between options and screens!

As an avid user of Avantgo on my PDA in a past life I was looking forward to operating on my n95 phone. However, sad to say, I agree with bchliu that the programme is so, so slow, I have given up on WiFi as the downloads can take anything up to 30 mins for less than 2 MB. In many instances the programme gives up altogether. I have tried this on 3 WiFi locations (internet browsing no problems and fast) and gave up. Afraid it will be off my phone, at least until a newer more acceptable version is released.

Slow? You want slow? Try sync this over a GPRS connection. Ha ha, now that is slow. A simple 130 page delete and 132 page refresh took nearly 10mins.
