Best TaskMan lives up to its name

You'll remember that Best TaskMan, a 'system' utility for peeking under the hood of your S60 smartphone, had some issues in its S60 3rd Edition version? Well, it's back, fixed and with a truck load of extra features, including proper hotkey support and a Windows-like alt-tab system. And it's only $7 (£3.50), which is pretty impressive. Here's the Best TaskMan product page in our software shop.

Read on in the full article.

I'm surprised you don't compare this program with Handy Taskman. IMHO, the latter still blows away Best Taskman with its Quicksilver/Launchy style type-to-start program launcher.

Hmm.... I haven't tried that personally. Don't suppose you fancy reviewing Best TaskMan and doing a head-to-head between the two? Drop me an email etc.

I do agree with him steve..
I have both apps(handy taskman and best taskman) installed on my e70 and i must say handy taskman(version 1.01) beats besttaskman(version 1.00) way by far.
Its more system integrated, having better management of my system&apps than anything best taskman could do.
In fact, i use it 95% more often than i do most other task utility softwares.. (No offence to y-browser though..--Thats a great app too).
Though in a head to head,.Both will definitely have their strengths and weakness against the other..

I guess a thorough review of the two might be due..Though our overall opinoins might differ..

i agree if you are comparing best tasman 1.00
however version 2.01 is incredible
i have a nokia e61i and use the 'my own key' as my app switcher and its a lot more responsive and quicker than handy taskman
one bug though, the app launcher crashes
still better than handytaskman, i jus uninstalled mine

I purchased both applications as well and used handy one last times. Till besttaskman 2 was out. It's not correct to compare "handy" vs previuos "best". New version of besttaskman beats handy one completely. New taskman is really good polished and overthinked application and i'm not even mention their taskswitcher and quickstart that just brilliant.*Update of besttaskman is one of the biggest updates ive seen for a long time.

We confirm this problem. It's bug with Java apps (Opera mini, GMail,..) if you include them in QuickStart. This problem was localized and fixed already. New version will be available soon. You can exclude Java apps from Quickstart list till new version is out to make it work.
