1. When sending blackberry contact already in ur contact address book, cant see the email of the contact.
2. Cannot easily copy received email. Must use ctrl a (there's no command to "select all"😉 to select whole email, ctrl c and then open new email, paste and delete what u dun want.
3. Slow gps and poor reception, hard to get any connection in hkg because of buildings
4. No silent shutter for camera 5. Poor casing, so not all rubber is resting on table.
6. Poor batt life (so far) lasting about 1.5 days.
7. Unable to download attachments from blackberry.
8. Cant save bluetooth files tha are not reconised by nokia
9. Bug : first time sync of blackberry puts your corporate sent items into your inbox
10. Unable to charge via usb
11. No more ctrl z undo function
12. No easy way to set default numbers across the board. So when sending an SMS, it becomes cumbersome to have to select which number to send to.(unlike the 9500, sms are sent only to mobile phones)
13. Does search only on First Name and Last name fields. Middle name fields are ignored.
14. Anniversary years seem to be missing from the calendar. (unlike 9500)
please feel free to add to the list!!!
That's already a big list, but most of the things can be fixed via firmware upgrades, I really hope one will come fast when I read this all.
There are two other thread on gripes, why don't we just compile into one big thread?
USB charging is not available on Nokia phones at the moment, it's not a bug. GPS wise, AGPS most likely will come in future firmware, looking at N95 AGPS
Hi guys,
Have you tried upgrading to the latest version of the Nokia E90 Communicator device and BlackBerry Connect softwares, which would be version 7.24.0.3 and version 7.21.0_2 respectively? I think some of the issues raised here will be addresses by these releases.
Though I still miss the conveniences offered by the standard shortcut keys which was previously available in the Nokia 9500 Communicator which includes the following:
- use of the tab button to switch between windows/panels
- use of standard shortcut keys (i.e.: CTRL-A, SHIFT-Arrow key, etc) in any window/panel
- CTRL-A shortcut key to select all messages, need to traverse via the Options menu and use Mark all
- sigh :frown:
Anyways, let's just hope that Nokia will be able to port these features in their Series 60 devices or at least for all their Communicator devices.
Thanks.
