Has anyone else noticed that while navigating the speed shown is always about 5 miles per hour less that the speedometer on the car. I have used it while travelling in several different hire cars and it's always the same.
Any idea why?
Thanks,
John

You will find this on most GPS nav systems.
The reason is your car speedo is not correct.
Car companies are legally allowed to 'get the speed wrong' but they are only allowed to show the speed higher and not lower than the actual speed. So you will find most car speedos are set higher than the actual speed.
Hope this clears it up for you.
I figured that it was something like this, but I didnt want to prompt any answers.
Thanks a lot.
