I have major issue with Billionton USB BT dongle. I'm running winxp with SP1 installed, Widcomm driver suite 1.2.2.16. all installation went smoothly, I'm able to pair NOKIA 7650 device with my desktop computer over BT. No probs there. I'm able to connect to NOKIA 7650 over FAX stack and also transfer files in nokia inbox by copy-n-paste files into nokia public folder.
My problem:
I can't make bluetooth serial port connection to work. After executing BT Serial Port connection I'm getting information that connection will be established on port0. In next 2-3 seconda I'm getting Error screen "The Bluetooth Serial Port connection failed: The remote device closed connection"...
what i'm doing wrong here????? I haven't even installed Nokia PC Suite since i believe that i have to manage this bluetooth serial connection going first before i will start to play with PC suite.I really need help here. Please advice.

It will give you that error message however it connects. A few seconds after that error message, notice your phone, the black dot in the phone that represents the Bluetooth connection will have brackets around it, meaning there is a connection.
In no case i am aware of do you actually need to initiate a serial port connection from your PC via the method you spoke of, for example, mrouter opens it itself, bemused is opend from the phone side etc...

I've been tricked by NOKIA's instruction in readme.txt for PC Suit where it says that bluetooth serial port connection has to be established prior the first execution of the program. You are quite right: despite the error connection still works and nokia PC suit has established connection smoothly.

interesting enough, that after system reboot. nokia suite doesn not picking up bluetooth connection anymore. i still able to communicate with phone via my bluetooth places (send files, browse inbox, etc) but not with Nokia suite. hmmm... any ideas???

The software and drivers work for both brands!

I downloaded the latest version of the drivers for my billionton doungle, it works ok if i use the serial port.... but i want to know what u menat by direct connection, that would be very convenient.
