retrieving IMEI

Hello,

Is there a way to remotely retrieve the IMEI # from a Nokia 6288?

As far as I know, no (unless you know who is using it now, and what phone number they have, and the network operator tells you; they can see the IMEI).

I typed in *#06# and it gave me the IMEI. I also heard you can get it by looking under the battery.
