Well, I took the plunge, having resisted interim V3 upgrades and went for 4.0726.2.0.1 today, having been running the last version of the Music Edition since last November.
On first impressions, apart from the obvious additions of A2DP support and the few re-arranged features, I can't really tell any difference, certainly not in performance anyway. There's more stuff in the Download! folder and things like Exchange Sync will be handy for work.
So, nothing earth shattering but until my contract allows me to upgrade to the N95 without requiring a mortgage or until the N97 or whatever is about when my contract comes up for renewal, the N73 still ticks virtually all the boxes for me 😊
One thing I have noticed is that this firmware upgrade has cured the Alarm-not-coming-on-when-the phone-is-off problem.
At 10.43 I set it for a minute later and powered off.
The phone booted up and the alarm rang at 10.44 - just as you would expect.
Another thing (that's two then, not one) is that you get a little quick vibrate when you turn the phone on. Odd but kind of nice.. 😊
no the alarm thingie while off is still there...kewl feature i think! nice feature to save battery but need the alarm...
You saying your alarm still wont work with the phone off then?
Not sure I understand - you say it is "still there" then say its a cool, sorry kewl feature.
"Still there" means the problem still exists (ie alarm wont function with power off)
"Cool feature" means it works as advertised, saving battery while still working.
:hmmmm:

My alarm has always functioned when the phone is switched off. When the alarm sounds, if I select to stop the alarm, it then asks if I want to switch the phone on.
Very handy little feature that most phones have
