Does anyone know if you can use the radio on the N95 without the need to attatch a headset? I wanna play it through the in-built speakers. Is this possible?

You can play it through the speakers, but you need to keep the headset attached as well as it acts as a receiver.
Trouble is i dont wanna take my headphones everywhere with me. Would it work if i cut an old headphone jack off and inserted that?

Probably yes, not 100% sure though. Trouble is that whilst the phone would accept it you would probably get a very poor radio signal.
If you have unlimited internet (e.g. Web n Walk) then you could save the link for the radio station in the gallery, and listen over the internet, but it would only work in 3G signal areas unfortunately.
What about a bluetooth headset?
Will radio work with such a bluetooth?
Can it play a role of antenna as well?
Radio only works with a wired headset sorry, not bluetooth, becuase it needs the wired antenna.
You might be able to get the radio sound VIA the bluetooth headset whilst the wired is also connected
buy a cheap headset for like $3 (cheapest u can find) and cut it right at the beginning of the cable. U will have like an inch of plastic poking out of the phone. Then set it up to play using loadspeaker. Works like a charm.
Some SE phones have a method to play radio radio w/o the phones. Hope someone will "discover" it for Nseries as well.

One more question:
Can I use every bluetooth headset to listen to radio, MP3 music or MP4 movies or I need a stereo headset for that?
Can you not just use the remote control as the antenna for the radio?
On the subject of radio, why can I not use mine when I do not have a sim card in? My N95 is currently locked and I am awaiting an unlock code. In the meantime I am unable to use the radio without a data connection. Why is this?

Nope, I thought that but I tried it and it doesn't work, it still needs headphones

The Data connection is for Visual Radio, which I dont think works in the UK.
(maybe virgin radio does it, but im not sure)
It should let you listen if you turn visual service off, but i dont really know.
Hello, my visual radio plays the stations ok, though it sends more volume to one earphone and one speaker if loudspeaker is activated! Music Player plays fine with earphones and speakers but the radio is not! Im just wondering if this happens cause the radio signal might not be stereo...that is..mono so it only goes almost in one earphone! Help....

I thought this but I have tried and it doesn't work. As long as wired headphones are connected, they seem to get priority over all outgoing sound.

I had the exact same problem,
Very annoying!
However, a couple of days ago it worked fine.
The only things I changed were a firmware upgrade to v12 (Wich I hoped wasn't the problem),
and I installed webradio for s60 and a shoutcast plugin or so.
After deinstalling both, the volume was again spread evenly😃
I do have to note two things however:
- i forgot the shoutcast name, so when i wanted to uninstall that, i accidentally also uninstalled some other server v2. I don't know what it was unfortunately
- after uninstalling i tried to boot visual radin, but my phone chrashed:S After a reset by removing the battery, the radio worked perfectlx again. (well, not perfectly, but it is undair to judge the radio on the bad slam!fm frequencies😉 )
Hope this helped and did the trick!

I beg to differ. I've been doing that and it plays radio through the built-in speakers just fine.
