Contact/ SMS App and Ability to Insert Smileys?

Hey all,
Starting to get into my new N70. I've noticed a few things missing which I took for granted on my old phone and others before hand.

Firstly the contact problem. Does anybody know of any little application that would allow to send to the most recent numbers used while sending an SMS. On my previous phone (Nokia 6233) there was an option while sending a text to insert "recently used". This gave a list of the most recent numbers/ contacts you sent a message to and you just selected from that list. It was very handy for contacts you text often. Family, girlfriend etc.

Secondly the smiley question. My last two Nokia phones had the option while sending a text to go into the options and "insert smiley". It then brought up a list of different smileys. For example on the 6233 "😊" could be show graphically as 😊 etc. It's very annoying while used to the former to have to go into symbols select ":" insert that then go back back into symbols...

Is there any sort of applications out there that can allow either of these? I can't imagine two simple little options like that being a problem for any programmer out there. No?

Many thanks in advance people.

(1) contacts - in message "to" field.Change to text mode(abc) instead of number mode(123).Now type in initial few characters of contact name & (click) press center...Now you will get list of contacts starting from that... You can simply tick them...It's really easy and fast (2) smiley - its also easy. First you must have activated dictionary mode. Now press "1" for 2 or 3 times to get 2 or 3 lettered smiley..You can press "*" to change smiley. It's really easier than your old model.
