I read all forums and didn't get a solution for my problem. I put everything I learned into this thread, maybe it will help others, especially when my problem is solved of course 😊
I've got an N70 and tomtom mobile 5.2.
Put the file straight onto the root of the 1GB MMC card, using a memory card reader (not using the Nokia USB cable), and then put the card into the N70.
I went into "My own" folder, but no tomtom icon.
I tried the 2577 folder to select autorun.exe, but no success ("unknown file format"😉.
Then put the MMC card back in the memory card reader and I used an upgrade tool from tomtom (w3.tomtom.com/updates/ttmupd520.exe).
Switched the MMC card back into the N70, and guess what?? There is a tomtom icon in "My own"!
However, selecting this icon doesn't work (some blank screen, and then nothing).
I have got the software installation to "on", (Tools | Manager | Options | Settings' and turn 'Software installation' "On".), so that's not the problem.
Then I installed a file browser on the N70 (w3.gosymbian.com/FE_download.html) and tried to run tomtom using that ("E:\System\Apps\TTMOBILE\Ttmobile.app"😉, but also no success. The phone behaves just like using the TT icon in "My own".
So I guess I'm stuck here. :con? Does anyone have any tips for me, please?
