hi guys,

i wanted to buy a symbian with qwerty but not being a fan of the "show-off" E61, i am interested by the E70 that still has a phone form factor (beside having a nice hr screen)

but i cannt find one, it seemed to has been discontinued, is it true ? why ? is there another one coming ? E70i ?

thanks

This product has been discontinued and may no longer be available. "

This is the message i find on pretty much all (but one, error ?) online stores in Australia

E70s are still selling in Sweden.

Wow - this forum won't let me post the website link before I've posted 10 times or more - so go to the nokia dot-se website under phones,e70,prices.php and you'll find a list of shops and prices.

I suppose they're mostly in Swedish, might have some English available. If you really want to buy, you can probably send an email. Swedish crowns are roughly worth one seventh of a US dollar, but you can check websites for up-to-date information on your exchange rate.

It almost disappeared from shops, is true. It was a low sell device I think, because I never saw one on the wild...

Yup, almost disappeared, but still exists. I hardly found mine, but I can't get the point why people don't like it. Battery life is simply awesome, WLAN, camera, QWERTY, it's not that big... whatta hell do the people want?

I'm interested in that long battery life. I've experienced terrible battery life with the E70, think I might have improved it - little too early to tell.

Most of the time, it's connected wirelessly to my home router. I've recently upgraded the router's firmware and changed some settings. Now (one day later) - it looks like I'm not draining the battery as much.

But - I keep a charger at my girlfriend's house. Even though I don't use it much when I'm there, it won't make it through a weekend. I've recently upgraded the phone's firmware to v3 - hope it helps.

My battery lasts for just two days, but the phone is heavily used and the battery is a BL-5C instead of original one which was lost by stupid me.

I got my E70 just a couple of months ago from Vodafone UK. Very pleased with it and find the battery life (BL6C) OK. Obviously, the more features that are stuffed into phones the more often they are going to need charging, but we want all the bells and whistles, don't we?

I'm at the point where two days looks very good to me. I just got to that - recharged this morning after two days. Before this, I was often leaving the phone plugged in all day, or recharging more than once a day.

I haven't spent much time outside the range of my own access point since upgrading to v3 firmware. It remains to see whether I get even more than two days when I'm not connected. Two days is about what I used to get when not online at my access point. I'm not sure that will improve. Right now, things at my access point seem very calm.
