My Phone restarts when i receive a call

8 replies · 2,972 views · Started 12 July 2007

It started after installing v12 and now it restarts when ever i receive a call, i have tried closing everything and even doing a Hard Reset but it's still going on.

Anyone heard of this happening?

Try turning off "Say caller name" (don't know the exact english words as I have a Danish operating system) in the profile setting you are using.

At least in the scandinavian version of 12.0.013 the speach synthesis is busted and will lock up or reset the phone.

Same thing happens if you have voice dialling/voice command set to speak the command back to you.

Mine is Danish too, i just tested it and it's the 'Sig Navn' Feature as you mentioned.. Really appreciate this as i can live without that feature until it gets patched!

Happy to help.

The error has also been reported in danish forums:

mobildebat.dk and mobil-forum.dk

It seems to only happen on the Scandinavien firmware.

Ha' en god weekend 😊

This is happening to me on my US model and I don't have any voice functions activated. Aside from when I answer calls, the screen fades and I have to restart even when I open the slide. I just updated firmware a few days ago.

Not sure if this is by chance, but AFAIR this behavior occured only by calling the voicebox via shortcut "1".
Now, I upgraded to latest firmware 12.0.0.13 and it did appear until now.

i had the same prob, screen fading and restarting for no reason, i returned 2 handset for this reason, it was a faulty phone as far as i was concerned.

the third just switch itself off for no reason and i found out it is actually the newly stupidly designed battery which lost contact with the phone, a piece o cardboard on the side sorted it (cant f***in belive on a 500 phone!!!)
