s60 v3 is better than v2 in which issue?

1. speed

2. stability

3. easy to use

4. easy to develop application (now some are launched)

5. feature

6. efficiency

or anything else (os itself - not consider hardware)

Wirelessly posted (Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.1.7196/1690; en; U; ssr))

As usual ratza donates his 2 cents worth of crap.S60v3 is actually less efficient than v2.This is apparent by comparing battery standby/talktime of a n80 and n95 with any old phone ie..N70, n72 etc.

As usual, yes. Is my crap tasty? It looks like you enjoy it. Why don't you compare other things too, not only the battery?

1. about the speed

is symbian like windows?

a newer version consume more resources, then with same resources the old version will run faster

(like a minimum requirement will be higher)

but it's not direct comparison because one model can't install different version

2. about app

is only the signing process a pain?

will app be developed easier than S60v2?

How long will the apps cover those existing in S60v2?

1. It is possible, but my E70 is faster than the previous N70.
2. I'm afraid the applications will be developed in the same way. If you want to create your own apps, I suggest Python, it is really easy to learn it and you can edit/run scripts straight on the pone.

It depends on developers if they can/want to port the apps to v3.

Yes, I had the N70 for one year and switched to E70. I needed Symbian, camera, WLAN and QWERTY onto a single device and the only devices were E70 and E61i.
