What exactly is this feature? And what is it used for?

I didnt have this when i was branded.

When i click on it, its says check PPT settings.

It's like a two-way radio, which would let you talk to someone for free I think. But as far as I know none of the networks (in the UK at least) support it anymore, apparently they used to for a short while.

Ahh, thats why the orange branded n95 didn't have this feature, its not really a bid deal i have Truphone which is free to alot of destinations as well as international.

When we went to the States a few years ago, there were quite a few Americans wandering around the theme parks using their mobiles as back to back (or two way) radios. I'm assuming the networks over there carry the service and have done for years. Over here though in the UK, its simply not available for the same old reasons - operators don't make any money out of it! It wouldn't be right in this country for us to not be ripped off or provided with something for nothing.

Yeah it is network dependent. Here in Australia it's a service where you pay extra for (have no idea how much though). No one really uses it, and you're better off with Truphone or something like that 😃

I guess it would be something pretty cool to have(ie walk in the park and PTT), but alas its something that might not be worth it..
