I just have my 9300 today, ( my Nokia history is 8250 >> 3310 >> 7200 >> 3230 >> 3250 >> 6670 >> 6680 >> N70 >> N95 + 9300 ) and I just found out that there's no message (SMS) report on Nokia 9300. The report that it has, is only a flash type message that only appears for about 2 seconds when it got delivered.
So it means that it's different with the other type of symbian OS phone, with this Nokia 9300 we can not confirm the messages we sent, if they're already delivered or not.
I hate this kind of situation because some time I sent messages and it got pending, so with this Nokia 9300 I'll never be able to know if those pending messages already delivered or not.
It is my regret that I spent my money on this type of Nokia. :frown: :frown:
PS : Is there anybody around here who knows how to change The Writing Language when we write messages on 9300? I already read manytimes the manual book, but still I couldn't find about this topic. The only topic that's related with the language is how to change the phone language.
I just solve the problem number 1, about the delivery report. It seems that this kind of Nokia uses messages Log that we can find by pressing Ctrl+Shift+L.

But I still have this problem number 2, I still can not find a way to switch language in the middle of writting messages. You see, I live in Russia so sometimes I need to write both in Russian Alphabets (Cyrillics) and Latin Alphabet in one text. The only way I found is, I have to change the language device into Russian so that I could write in Russian Alphabet and then the phone must be rebooted so that the change could take effects. But how could I write in both alphabet in one text, I still can not find the way on this Nokia.
I wish there's a sugestion from you who already had experiences on this Nokia 9300. :con? :con? :con?
since u have used both nk 9300 and nk n95. i am now considering buying n95 so pls tell me the quality of speakerphone of n95. my nk 9300 speakerphone is by far the worse of all communicators ( nk 9210 is the best, nk 9500 is just mostly useable). thanks in advance.

Well, this isn't a reply that I expected and this is not the thread to discuss about N95. But I'll give you a some opinion about N95 that I have, it also sucks but hey far away better than this 9300. Nowadays Nokias, give me some eases but also more distresses I get. :frown: :frown:
you are right whit this...
While typing the text message, and when you need to switch the language, just press *both* shift key together (the keys with the up arrow), and your input will be switched to the second language, input the text you want and when ready to go back to the original language, just press the shift keys together again. This way you can mix different language characters. Of course, you should have a second language available with the phone to be able to do this).
Good luck...

If the message is not sent for any reason, you should find it in the Outbox. The device will try to resend a number of times (maybe 3 times, I forgot). If it still can not be sent, it'll remain in the Outbox with a failed message I believe.
If it is sent, you'll find a copy in the Sent folder (press Shift-Ctrl-S to set how long to keep the messages in the sent folder).
You can do a lot with the log (Ctrl+Shift+L). While in the Log press menu and check view > Filter by type and filter by direction.
Under filter by type you can show all, voice only, text only...etc. However, an interesting option is the last one; From/To. Use this option by first highlighting an entry in the log and then choosing From/To. Now the list will only show communication with that entry (a filter). Furthermore, you can now go ahead and filter on direction to (apply a filter to the current filter). very useful.
This is the kind of control I lost when I tried to switch to S60 and made me go back to S80.
I hope with more usage, you'll view your purchase decision as positive.
A long time ago I posted the following tips. You might find something useful in them:
