Upgraded Orange N80 Firmware to N80ie

Hi all.

Just to let you know that you can upgrade you N80 variant firmware to the latest generic firmware. I upgraded my Orange N80 firmware a couple of days ago to the latest generic firmware, which has now made it a N80 Internet Edition.

I would recomend this if you want the latest firmware with all the latest feaures that's available. Not only has it made the phone more stable, but it is faster and you get better reception. I use to get 2-3 bars at home now I can get upto 4 3G bars, big improvement.

All this can be done at home with free software thats freely available on the net.

Anyone else done there's ?

Unless I'm missing something here, but reflashing your phone from an Orange branded one to a generic one is all over this forum and has been for a long time...

Yes I know, thats how I found out about it.

Sorry if my post was misinterpreted, I was just trying to inform Orange N80 users that it works OK, and what the benefits are.

Thanks for that I am an orange user with the latest generic firmware, good to know that it still works 6 months down the line😊
