My phone wont let me install anything. Keeps saying 'file corrupted'. Even files that i've installed before wont work. Whats going on?

Should have installed everything to phone mem!

LOL!

sorry but that's a bit unreasonable... it sounds like the installation file that's corrupted - if he can't even get the installer to run, talking about where to install to is a bit pointless...

Yea thats a bit unreasonable, and also illogical. Why would the location of a installation make any difference? I've been installing applications my my N95 memory card for several months now, and did the same on the nokia before that. Their is no problem with the location of the installation. Besides, i've tried installing applications to the handset memory too and im still getting the 'file corrupted' message. I doubt the files themselfs are corrupt as many of the applications i'm attempting to install are programs ive used previously. Something is wrong with the phone

It's possible that there's something with the phone, but I'm not aware of any problems that would cause the "file corrupted" message. Even though you've installed from the files before, it's not impossible that they got corrupted somehow on your computer. Two ways: either reformat the phone and see if they will install, or try them on a friend's phone if possible. Either will let you know where the problem lies.
