Hello,
I just upgraded my phone to firmware version 4.0726.0.1 (26-06-2007) and I was wondering how do you enable A2DP via bluetooth headphone?
Just to state my current situation, I have a Sony DR-BT10CX (yes it does support A2DP) bluetooth stereo headset. The headset can pair with the phone with no problem, I can make and answer phone calls, I can also get stereo sound when using the MSI Blueplayer (for the first 30 secs anyway before they tell me the player is only compatible with a MSI bluetooth device), so it's not a hardware issue. However when I go into my music player and select a song, I get nothing from my stereo headset, I can, however, hear the headset sort of "turned on" and I can hear the "hollow static-ish" sound in the back.
Before I upgraded the software I can get audio when I open the music player, but it's played through HSF thus the sound quality is horrible.
Your help is much appreciate it.
The N73 doesn't have any Bluetooth A2DP support, as far as I'm aware.

It does with the latest firmware 4.xxx. However, I don't use it so can't help.
Solved, it is a compatibilty issue with Sony headsets and Nokia handsets, returned the Sony headset today and replaced with another one, worked fine!
hiya running siemens hhb-750 bluetooth stereo headset
very good runs on aaa battery so if it runs out on route can easily change the battery no charging sweet 😊
also has stop rewind f foward play pause talk button and key lock so is perfect to use as a music headset it also has a caller display so you can see whos calling all these features work with my n73 and the regualur n73 v4 firmware
this headset runs on bluetooth versin 1.2 and works pefect distance is 5-8m before music becomes stuturey connection never drops iam quite impressed
nice1 peace out
ps got from ebay for about 15-17 pound
great buy
sony one on the way as well ill report back on that one asap
this siemens one is a+++++ though
Have been using the Same Sony headset as above with no problems, but I found the sound was a bit tinny so turned up the bass and lowered the treble on the equaliser and found it sounds much better if you insert the phones upside down so they fit in your ears better instead of the wire going down from the earphones turn them 180' so it gos up from your ears😊

Hi Buxz - read some reviews on this fella on the net and they aren't too good. Is the sound quality ok? The volume level? I suppose you get what you pay for at the end of the day..

right its not a bad head unit allthough compared to sum ive seen its a bit bigger. batery life isnt to bad of the aaa battery obvously better batterys = better battery life 😊
sound quality is poor through the siemens headphones when i say poor i just mean to quiet for me but you can connect your own which is a bonus but they have to have a mic built in as the unit dosent have a mic the headphones do
id do a search on ebay and look for the sony ericsson ones i got one from hong kong for 23 pounds
its gonna rip the reviews are much better and it has proper sony headphones which apparently kick out sum its also a multi point device ie you can listen to your music via pc and bluetooth but it will still be connected to your phone so when a call comes in it pauses the connection to the pc and will transfer to the phone how cool is that 😊
it also has caller id and all the music controls 😊 hopefully it works with this new v4 bluetooth ive been lucky so far though 😊
dont know the model number of hand but i typed into ebay uk
bluetooth stereo headphones
youll find it it has a neckstrap and is black and orange with lcd display 😊 theres loads on ebay most populaur model on there at mo
hope that helps the siemens aint bad if you can find good headphones with in built mic 😊
nice 1
Yeah I've seen the Sonys - it's the HBH DS970. They look good but they say Walkman on them which is a bit product-unfaithful.. 😊
I'm holding out and saving up for the HS-12W - a few on ebay now.
These Plantronics Versas would appear to the be the bogs dollocks, but they're only a concept at the mo.
😊
Hi guys,
Bought SIemens HHB bluetooth earphones as saw from a post here that it worked (unlike the Sony ones which didn't work for me) on the Nokia n73.
works ok on mine but for some reason cannot control volume or change song in Nokia music player using bluetooth control piece. If I make a call I can change volume no problem.
Has anyone experienced this or is it likely to be an issue with the siemens bluetooth controller or is it the Nokia N73 media player? (this is NOT music edition)
any advice very much appreciated.
many thanks,
-Neil Kashishian.
thats weird mate mine worked a++ inc all the features
have you tryed pairing it again??
mine was the music edition though v4 hope this is of sum use matey
I'm happily running (literally) with Moto S9s, great bit of kit (albeit a tad expensive, 70-80, although you can get them for less on fleabay).
Didn't pair of first attempt though, which was a little scary.
Thankfully they aren't the overly gay black/red ones, just black.
