I just purchased a used(2 month. mint condition) N80 for $380(with tax+1 year warranty through the store) Canadian.
One of the reason I bought an N80 was for the Wi-Fi and Camera. I like to be connected at all times in the internet. My question is.. I'm not sure if ImHere.jar will charge me. From what I can understand, it's free as long as I connect through a wireless connection. I just can't connect to it 😞
Another one is the fring.com . I've read that It's VoIP(i'm very new to VoIP). I also read through the search function and understood that VoIP is only for the Internet Edition. I also read that I can flash it to make mine an IE, but It's possible to void warranty. It's fairly new(4 hours) so I dont wanna risk that.
Is there any good/decent MSN programs for my N80 that I can use through Wi-Fi? If not.. I'm gonna be forced to use ebuddy or maybe msn2go.com
Thanks. Oh.. I hate the PC Suite for transfering music. I might just put them directly on the card with a mini-sd reader or something.
I also don't know where this phone was released. Probably China considering it has some Chinese letters. I tried searching for that #****# code to check firmware.. Hoping I'l be able to find out where it came from and such incase I do decide to flash this to an IE.
With free hotspots you dont pay nothing!
Fring works well on N80 - N80ie is the same phone with one or another firmware tweak...
Yes. Thanks. I was managed to google it somewhere. I currently use Fring.com . My concern right now is the browser. I wish there was a better one. I don't know how to "hide" the one that the phone came with. I press red button(above the cancel button) and it seems to just exit it.
Now I'm trying to find softwares. Fun ones 😊. When I was in the Philippines, I believe some people had this picture/capture software that wraps the faces(twists/twirl). And I believe they managed to use their phone as a remote for the TV(using infrared I believe). I'm not enterely sure.

Latest Windows medie player (assuming you're on a PC) works well. Connect your phone using the data transfer mode and you'll be able to drag songs within media player straight onto it. I've had no problems with this at all.
