Thanks for the reply how is the photo compression have they made the picture quality any better as, the previous update made lower quality photos picture size decreased to average 450kb instead of 700kb

JUST TOOK 2 PICS INDOORS VERY DULL CONDITIONS 1 CAME OUT AT 474KB THE NEXT ONE CAME OUT AT 586KB

1ST WAS A FACE PIC 2ND WAS OF THE WHOLE ROOM

BOTH WERE GOOD QUALITY

I ALLWAYS FOUND TO GET LIKE 650KB--750KB I HAD TO BE IN BRIGHT CONDITIONS OUTSIDE WHAT ABOUT YOU

PICS SEEM LIKE GOOD QUALITY

STILL NOISE IN VIEWFINDER IN DARK LOCATIONS NOISE DOSENT TRANSMIT TO ACTUAL PICS THOUGH

CAMERA APP OPENS QUITE QUICKLY 😊 HAVENT GOT MY MEMORY CARD IN AT MO THOUGH RE INSTALLING TOMTOM 6 AT MO

I've just updated to 4.0727.2.2.1 using my old ME code of 0537289 (EURO1). Upgrade was smooth, I've got my "Stave" Theme back (yay !), yes, you can exit the Music Player properly from the menu again, the Media key is still a direct access key to the Music Player, but sadly, the Bluetooth issue still remains.

It is looking more and more likely that Nokia have added things like AD2P support at the expense of older Bluetooth versions. So, it looks like a new GPS device is required.

Still, all else seems fine...... so far !! 😉

if i up to me firmware can you go back again if you need too

or do you have to wait till generic catch up?

You can never regress to a previous version. You can only go up in version numbers, I'm afraid.
You can switch to generic, but only if the generic version number is higher than the version you have installed.

can anyone with a 4gb mini sd card and the new me firmware please tell me how stable this is?? does it work?? slow phone down or not?? can you record video or take pics??
any feedback appreciated

i sold my 4gb card before this firmware was released DAM!!!!

Just installed the new firmware via NSU. Everything worked smoothly.

When I re-inserted my memory card my approved apps. were installed automatically. The un-approved ones I had to install manually.

Could not re-install Handy Taskman, had to download it again & install.

Installed TomTom & my gps receiver was found & paired with succesfully.

Everything seems to be working fine so far, will keep you updated.

For those that were having problems with the silent mode, I have just pressed the hash key for two seconds & gone into silent mode, pressed it again & back to general mode.

The code I used was 0537289 (Euro 1).

Sorry 'buxz777'. I dont have a 4gb card to try.

running taskman with music player in bacground mines got 10.8 ram left without music player 12.8 ram

phones is fast as fast as regulaur n73 v4 easily

i had tomtom 6 , asphalt gt 3d game, music player playing, and calcium calculator running had 2.2 ram left and could stillmove swiftly around menus

so ram seems quite good

haven really tested flash yet
