First i notice that i can not change network from Auto to gms or utms under network settings. There should be 3 menues, but there is only 2... So i updated my firmware to the latest 4.... for Nokia N73. The menu came back- BUT
When i restored the backup, to get contacts and sms back to the phone - the menu disappeared again.... WHY - how do i backup only contact and sms + photos....
Also - after using Nokia Maps for a few days, how do i backup the places i stored ?
please... dont use the pcsuite backup... just manually save your contacts, files like images, mp3s etc ... save them in your harddrive 1st...
after flashing, format your phone using the *#7370# method ..
and reinstall other apps you have previously... and copy back your contacts and other files...
it's safer that way...
* to backup contacts .. open My Computer and open your Phone Model .. open Contacts .. and copy all to your harddrive.. if not, just click the 'update contact' on the menu bar... when copying back to your phone, just click the 'update contact' .. or if not, copy back the files you've backup..
*for messages, im using memory card to store all incoming outgoing sms .. setting is under messages.. and if you want to clean format your memory card... just backup a hidden folder if im not mistaken, 'SYS' folder .. and it has a folder named A***49b something.. i forgot.. there it stores all your messages..
