Has anyone else noticed Web becoming more fragile after upgrading to V12 firmware?
I'm seeing the "Memory Full - Close applications" error more often and on a fairly regular basis Web will even close itself down completely and with no warning! This is obviously pretty frustrating when I am nearing the end of a long forum post or have navigated through 25 links to finally reach the page I want to read.
I also find that when clicking on a link spawns a second window the N95 almost always closes the first window. This is again incredibly frustrating, especially as the 2nd window does not inherit the browser history. It often means that I have to manually reenter the original URL and retrace my steps to get back to where I was before the new window opened.
This is with no other user programmes running on the phone mind you.
Is anyone else seeing behaviour like this with V12? Should I be thinking of a hard reset and a rebuild or should I just switch to Opera Mini for my browsing?
I've noticed it closing other apps to take up memory (most noticably - Music Player). Also The toolbar that appears when you click a blank part of the page doesn't seem to work, either..

yes, it has happened to me also after the upgrade. Sometimes I leave the podcast application idle, but I also did it before the upgrade and didn't have a problem.

If you want to save RAM when using the WEB app, disable History List and Mini-Map functions.
I think Opera Mini would be a bit limiting in graphics.
If you really need a different browser, try the full version of Opera.

Yes it does (took me a bit to work it out too), you just have to hold down the button for more than 1sec. This is actually an improvement, because then the odd bump while trying to scroll around doesn't bring up that toolbar (which is then slightly a pain to get rid of).

In some ways Opera Mini is actually better. Where Web often only displays the first few images on a large page, Opera Mini always displays all the graphics.
I'll try switching off the history list. The Mini-Map is already off.
Thats odd because I actually seem to get far less memory errors wince the update. Then again, I use Opera Mobile so that may account for the better memory handling
Could all of you say if you did a back up and restore across the upgrade to V.12?
