Hello I'm new to this forum and new to the N95..I'd like to ask some quick questions most just need yes/no answers. I know they've probably been asked/answered before but I'm pretty hung over and basically cannot be arsed searching through the forum..Well..here goes
WLAN, I take it there is no charge for using this?
GPS, Is this free?
Barcode Reader...Wtf? lol I thought someone was having a laugh when they told me that. How do you work it exactly and what can you use it for? I've messed about with it a few times but no success.

WLAN no, unless you use a hotspot that charges you, but you would need to pay in advance for this. Usually, when you connect to these you get a page that tells you how to pay etc.
GPS not exactly. But what you must do to avoid it downloading the maps and charging you data, is download them via PC and install them onto the phone/memory card.
You also have to pay for turn guided GPS (it giving you voice prompts). Various options are available, like for a month or year etc. However, Ive heard nokia maps isnt the best for this, so if you plan on using it for a dedicated satnav device Id get a third party satnav software on there, like copilot.
The barcode reader is a function on the camera I beleive. It can decipher what looks like square blocks of black and white bits into text. Theres a fair bit about it on the net.
