hi all hope someone can help me i have just bought a new n95 on orange yesterday and it is running v10 firmware so i want to update it to the new v12 firmware but when i tried the nokia software updater told me there was no new updates for my device can anyone help me please ?

That's because there aren't any!
You will have to debrand the phone (change the product code for and unbranded one) and then re try the nokia updater.
The networks are always behind the "vanilla" product updates.
Do a search on how to change the code!
