I prefer this one until the Brodit one arrives on my doorstep any day:

At least I get some use out of that useless leather case that came with the phone.
I say useless because with any pressing anywhere on the whole surface of the phone, it was essentially sending the unlock combination quite often then doing the double green and calling the last called many times a day.... also it makes the phone too fat and large in your pocket.

That ebay one doesn't look the best, but at least that is a start to getting cheaper holders than the Brodit (but wow, $30 US and $9 shipping, not cheap anyway). It seems to conceal the charging socket too, making it a bit useless for extended car usage with, say, gps, where you need to keep power up to the phone.

Regards

i bought one of these from kmart and it works sweet and give full access to all features of the phone too.
just as cheap at $20.

Brodit are streets ahead in this field. They make a specific holder for the phone and a specific mount for the car and then you fix those together, meaning you can find the perfect match for your car and phone and easily replace half of it if you change car/phone!
I fitted my N95/Nissan Primera brodit at the weekend and it is amazing. Very sturdy, easy fitting (it clips in so no screwing or glueing) and it looks pretty subtle.
I'll get some photos when I'm next in the car.

With Brodit do you have to take anything apart to fit them? I read something about the vent mount and it was talking about removing the facia (seat leon).

I can't speak for the Leon one since I have a Nissan Primera but for mine it was a simple case of clipping the mount to the dash. Its hard to describe but the two ends of the car-specific mount are wedge-shaped and you just push one end between the center console plastic and the top of the dash and the other end clips in just below the vent (still allowing full use and movement of that vent). The mounting piece is quite supple so you bend it and then it clips into place and it very solid.
It was literally a 20 second job to fit mine to the car.
